Hi there
This month, I’ve been reflecting deeply on the idea of inner resolution and how much it shapes the results we see in our bodies and our lives.
So often, we try to create change from the outside in…
New goals.
New routines.
New habits.
But real, lasting change doesn’t come from forcing ourselves into something new. It comes from resolving what’s happening within us first.
Inner resolution isn’t about willpower.
It’s about clarity.
It’s about alignment.
It’s about learning to trust yourself and your body again.
When we skip this part, even the best intentions can fall apart. That’s why so many fitness goals don’t stick, not because we’re failing, but because we’re trying to change behavior without addressing what’s underneath it.
This week on the podcast, I talk about:
-
Why lasting fitness results start internally
-
How giving yourself time and grace changes everything
-
Why skill-based strength goals build confidence and consistency
-
And how movement can be a way to reconnect instead of disconnect
I also share pieces of my own journey—from knee rehab and strength training to simplifying habits and letting go of what no longer served me—so you can see what this looks like in real life.
Here are a few reminders I want you to take with you:
• You don’t need to rush. Real strength takes time.
• Consistency matters more than intensity.
• Discomfort is part of growth, but it doesn’t mean punishment.
• Simplicity creates sustainability.
And maybe the most important question of all:
How deeply can you connect with yourself this year?
If this message resonated, I invite you to listen to this week’s podcast episode: Inner Resolution for Lasting Fitness Results. Sometimes awareness alone is the first step toward meaningful change.

If you’re feeling called to explore fitness in a way that feels supportive, grounded, and aligned with your body, there are a couple of ways we can continue this work together.
The Thrive Strong Community is a space for intentional movement, strength, and mobility—without pressure or burnout—where consistency and self-trust are the foundation.
And if you’re looking for more personalized support, I also offer in-person private and semi-private personal training in Portland, Oregon, helping you build strength and resilience in a way that’s specific to you.
You can learn more about that through the link below when the timing feels right.
Thank you for being here and for choosing to move forward with curiosity and care.
With gratitude,
Allison
