Hi there
Summer is a time to step outside and test what you’ve been building all year in the gym. Whether it’s beach runs, mountain hikes, or paddleboarding on the lake—this is the season to move, play, and feel your body working with you.
These are things I love doing—and so do many of my clients. What you might not realize? Most of my clients are over 40. Some are even in their 60s—and they are absolutely killing it.
Take Suzie, for example.
She’s in her sixties and had hip replacement surgery just last year. This summer, she conquered Mt Defiance in Oregon and now she’s hiking the Dolomites in Italy.
And in her words (not mine):
“I couldn’t have done this without your training and support.”
I’ll take a little credit 😉—but the real magic came from her showing up. Week after week, doing the “boring” things: rebuilding strength, focusing on mobility, and taking care of her foundation from the ground up. That’s what added up to something extraordinary.
This continues to prove itself time and time again:
We don’t have to slow down as we age.
We just have to train smarter.
When we do the foundational work, we get:
✅ Better joint health
✅ Less pain
✅ More confidence
✅ More freedom to do what we love—or finally check something off that bucket list
It’s never too late to start. And it’s never too early to commit to the life you want.
Let this be your reminder: You don’t have to settle. You’re not too old. And you’re definitely not done.

Prepping for the Trails: How Suzie Got Hiking-Strong 🥾🌲
Here are some of the key exercises I did with Suzie to prepare her hips and core for more strenuous hiking. As well as what I did myself to gain better back stability and lower core strength.
We focused on strengthening one often underrated area: The Hip Flexors.
Most fitness programs skip this entirely—but in my experience, dialing in hip flexor strength makes a huge difference in overall core stability, posture, and power on the trail.
